Enjoying Music at Music City Family KTV

It's not always that we, bloggers, get to gather and enjoy each other's company. At times, we have busy lives and we only meet once or twice in a month. When busy schedules are overwhelming, we can only get to meet online, virtually that is.

But during the times that we get to see each other, we make sure that each moment gets to be exciting and FUN. So when Music City Family KTV opened a few days back, we were given the chance to bond once more. The invitation from Music City Family KTV was so enticing that a lot of us went, even with our busy schedule as it was on a Tuesday.

The owners were very generous with the food they served us, lookie!

very yummy quarter chicken, juicy and soft

Creamy seafoods in white sauce

Tuna and veggie sandwich, and french fries

We thought the drinks that would pair up with the food are just the mere softdrinks and juices we have ordered, but we were wrong. The owner dished out everything, and while some of us were finishing up each morsel of the really engaging food, the waiter asked if what cocktail drinks we'd like to get. Others got themselves a blue lagoon margarita, some pina colada, and others were contented with the canned drinks.

cocktails, on the house

But of course, the best thing in this unexpected event is that, we were able to bond together and enjoy singing on their hi-tech and modern KTV. Each large room can accommodate at least 15 heads, and only for P300 per hour. There are also smaller rooms for 250 and for 200 per hour. The smallest can accommodate 6-8 rooms. Not bad, right?

Here's Donna, with her rendition of Spice Girls'
Stop right now, thank you very much!

And look at our faces, ain't it cool? Chilling out at Music City Family KTV is sure a bonding moment, whether it be with your family or friends. We had so much fun, and we had the chance to welcome and congratulate our coolest SoCCSKSargen blogger/pioneer Geny Lopez Regional Awardee Mark Aethen Agana.

Thank you Marvin and Marlon Kwan and Music City Family KTV, your place is a sure winner for us and rest assured we will be going back to enjoy breaking your walls with our voices.

Gusto ko sa Gusteau's!

I got the text a few minutes before the time they wanted me to be there. The message wanted me there for lunch with the Manila bloggers, so off hubby and I went, armed with our already full tummies, but nonetheless, there's room for extra, and one big room for what has been a feast.

We went to the newly opened Gusteau's Fud Hauz. There, the group was already waiting for us, and for the food to be served. And what wonder of wonders could be better than the food that were placed before our eyes.

Gusteau's Prawns, simmered in their secret spicy ingredients, instantly a favorite among us because of it's tangy spicy taste, one that will make you forget your table manners by licking fingers and soiled fingertips.

Deep-fried Tuna Belly

Gensan sure boasts of tuna and the food trip of the bloggers from Manila wouldn't be complete without them having to taste different tuna delicacies from Gensan City

Crispy Breaded Cream Dory
This one's so yummy that every dollop of sauce is licked.

And of course, the ever famous Grancheo Reale! My eyes could not be taken off from the big "sipit" that the king crab has, unfortunately it was kinda far from me, and was grateful when Sir Orman handed me what I wanted.

The salivary glands were oozing with craving for those king crabs.

Sooooo yummy, and big, I was wondering how much it weighed because the crabs they served us was really cholesterol-rich, but never minding the cholesterol, we still had a fun time cracking shells and
licking our fingers.
Sir Orman, even with his executive attire, was licking his fingers while devouring the food set before us.

I remember during the Soccsksargen Summer Safari when we were also treated with crabs, the CDO
bloggers tagged me "crab-mentality, coz of my fondness for crabs.
The king crabs is said to be cooked in cholesterol-free oil and garlic, and filled with white tender meat.

You'd never think of anything else, because our minds were all concentrated on the food and the yumminess of each dish. Conversations were entertained but still, our minds and hands were on the food.

The fresh crabs were personally fetched from the bus terminal by by the owner; Gusteau's is owned by brothers Mr. Allan and Albert Lopez.
They were first located at Tiongson Arcade but due to this new epic location at Sun City Suites, they were able to get a good strategic place for tourists and hotel visitors. Now, who could top that!

Thank you Gusteau's for the feast you have prepared for us and our visitors. Surely, word will be transferred from mouth to mouth, everything in Gusteau's is mouth watering. Very gastronomic palatable dishes, friendly staff, affordable rates of dishes, and a very nice place.

Gusteau's is located at the newly opened Sun City Suites, along National Highway. You may call them for inquiries and reservations at Cel. # 0916-4802830

And hey, do visit me at my new home!

Mother Instincts

Today is my Mom's birthday, and I thank her for all the LOVE she has bestowed upon us her kids. I am forever grateful that she is my mother, and will always be proud of all the things she did for us in order to survive LIFE.

Today, as I have reached the stronger intensities of motherhood, she may not know this, but she has been my inspiration all along. The good things she taught me and many more, are the things I am teaching my kids as well. The strength I get come from my kids, and they are the very reason why I strive hard to make them feel the comforts of the life I may not have had before.

Thank you Mommy for making me strong, for instilling in me the values of being a good woman, a child, much more, a MOTHER.

Mommy, I dedicate to you my new home. I called it Mother Instincts for it will feature me as a mother, other women's motherhood lifestyles, the whats and what-nots of life, and I share the beauty of motherhood. You have guided me to motherhood, and I owe all to you.

Dear readers, I invite you to my new home, you can add me up again to your blogrolls, and rest assured that all there is to share is the goodness of life. I will still keep this home as this has been the witness of many struggles and happiness, but enter my new home, and discover ME as a mother.

Go ahead, make me smile, comment on my Mother Instincts!

Whoa Gensan!

Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Taas noo, mga Heneral
Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Ating ikinararangal
Saan mang dako sa mundo
Tiyak angat ang bayan mo

Whoa Gensan!

Whoa Gensan!

Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Taas noo, mga Heneral
Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Ating ikinararangal
Saan mang dako sa mundo
Tiyak angat ang bayan mo

Whoa Gensan!

Itaas ang kamay, mga Heneral
Ang kalibre mo ay global
Handa ka na bang makipagsabayan sa mundo

Whoa Gensan!

Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Taas noo, mga Heneral
Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Ating ikinararangal
Saan mang dako sa mundo
Tiyak angat ang bayan mo

Rap:
No other city can break it down
Like Gensan, Tuna City
Boomtown city of the south
I’m in my hometown, I realized
I’ve been living in a blissful paradise

Whoa Gensan!

Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Taas noo, mga Heneral
Gensan’s Tuna Festival
Ating ikinararangal
Saan mang dako sa mundo
Tiyak angat ang bayan mo

Whoa Gensan!

Taas noo, mga Heneral
Gensan’s Tuna Festival

Whoa Gensan!

General Santos City is one big city blessed with lots and lots of tuna. To thank the Lord for the blessing He has provided for the city, we annually celebrate our Gensan Tuna Festival. Gensan Tuna's Mardi Gras will be highlighting the entire festivities, followed by a grand display of fireworks. Tagged as "Splash in the Sky", all these things and more are what kids and families are awaiting for. This will be on the 26th of September at the Oval Plaza.

One Meaningful Day for SoCCSKSarGen Bloggers

We have planned for this cause just two weeks ago; each of us busy with our own businesses and lives, we still were able to push through with the event even with the absence of some of our fellow bloggers due to the arrival of Manila travel bloggers.

We arrived early to facilitate the day's "Bleed for Life" Blood drive. We have targeted 50, but it was wishful thinking. We we're excited for each donor who passes the test for donation, but sadly, only Sir Gilbert passed among us bloggers. Our young bloggers did not make it to the 50 kgs. minimum. Some wanted to donate, but their bp's were up. I have a large hematoma spot on my left arm, and other bloggers didn't have much sleep because of the eyeball with Manila bloggers at PiYesta the previous night.

There's a doctor who is in charge with checking things and listening to the interview. It is he who makes sure you are in a healthy state before you give your blood.

Sir Gilbert, having his blood pressure checked, PASSED

The volunteers and Phil. Red Cross staff were very approachable and supportive of this event, We are just so glad that they were there to also make us aware of the things we need to do for our next blood donation drive.

Here's our very first blood donor. He was with his daughter just having a walk in the mall, but found our little place and decided to have his blood donated. The daughter patiently waited. And we are glad that he was what made other mall goers catch interest in what we are doing.

Hopefully, there will be a next time, and we will make sure there are more donors. We are truly glad we are able to help, because of this small act. We had eight bags of blood gathered and that alone is an achievement for us. Happiness is felt because in our own ways, we know we are able to help.

The SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers are grateful for all the sponsors of this drive, Ate Jinky Borela for the tetra pack juices, Chic Escal for the same, Rollee's Bakeshop for the bread, PiYesTa KTV and Resto Bar for preparing the sandwiches and the soup, Donna and Emman for the lunch of the volunteers and bloggers present, Robinson's Place Gensan for the mall space and lending us tables and chairs. Thank you to all the bloggers who supported and contributed for our cups, water, and utensils. Thank you Dr. Teves for being there with us, and most especially, to the Phil Red Cross for their time and effort to be with us on a Sunday in order to push through with this event. If I have missed out on someone, thank you, thank you.

We are very much grateful for your support, and for those who wanted to donate but was not able to, we shall have another round soon. We shall need your support soon.

Maraming Salamat sa lahat. This is one great move and we believe that with this, we have given our share of social responsibility. We are looking forward to more of these events, for a good cause.

Mabuhay SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers!

300 is an Achievement

This is my 300th post. Congratulate me! I do think this is one achievement, but I believe I should really blog more often.

I have come this far, sharing to you 300 posts about my life, my environment and my family. Everything is good when shared with friends. I am grateful that I am blessed with good friends who share my sentiments, listen to me, and give me their two cents when I need it. I am grateful that you are all friendly and patient of my rants and raves.

It's the start of Christmas, and I am excited. Who doesn't get excited about Christmas? Me, super excited because this Christmas, I will be reuniting with my best friend, she and her partner will be coming home, and we will be celebrating the season on our neighborhood. That's one reason to be happy, right? And this Christmas, hopefully, things will turn out from good to better.

I do have a Christmas wish list, but these are material things I need, as I am already blessed with the more valuable stuffs. For one, I think I need a new phone, one that's wifi-ready. I need it for my daily online work, as I can at least send articles using my phone. Or better yet, an ipod touch will be better.
I also need some shirts as I have noticed that my old clothes have become too clingy. Hubby says I should shed off some fat, am I fat at 53 kilos?

And lastly, been eyeing a bicycle for the kids, and for me too, so I think I need to buy one for us soon.
We still have 114 days before Christmas, so there's still time to save up. What's your Christmas wish? Whisper your non-material wishes to God, but you can whisper the material wants in my comments section. Who knows, you might get what you wish for.
