Shhh, Secret...

I am gonna let you in on one secret. I hate lizards.

I dunno why, but they just creep me off. I don't like the feel of their skin, and when they come near me, be ready, I might twitch. I cringe at the thought that their soft skin will touch mine, and their webbed foot will clasp in my skin. I hate them, really. I feel that they are the most unuseful creatures in the whole wide world, next to cockroaches and mosquitoes. Oh boy. Yeah, they are my most-dreaded insects.

But guess what, I had a chance to visit the Crocodile Park in Davao City last year, and we chanced upon the caretaker encouraging visitors to touch this guy. It's not my most dreaded creature, but it sure is a family, even bigger. But I touched it. The feel of its skin is so creepy too, I feel scared holding it. But take a look at the mouth, it was plastered. Thank goodness!

I have not gotten over with my oddness over lizards yet, but touching this thing sure made me a proud animalist. What's yours?

hi sheng! nice post! guess what, just like you I DETEST lizards very much. this came about when as a kid, I was happily gorging on my favorite fried chicken when all of a sudden, I felt something fall flat on my shoulder. the sensation was weird, as if something marblish (but soft) touched my skin -- it was very smooth, soft and COLD. when i looked over, there it was, a cold-blooded lizard mischievously looking back at me. gross! that's where my lizard-phobia stemmed from

I love reptiles! Especially lizards :) Hrm, hard question. I like most scary animals. I have tons of spiders in my garden, but I don't mind them. Snakes, I don't mind either, nor toads/frogs.

I think it has to be monkeys. Not the small cute ones, but the big ones. I think it's because they look almost human, but not human.

I'm not afraid of too many creatures but I do get startled if one surprises me by running out in front of me, or when I see one where I don't expect to find one! Yikes. You were brave to hold that crocodile.

Been in Crocodile Farm, too. But I didn't have a photo like that. I am not so afraid of house lizards (those at the ceilings), hehe. I remember those from my grandparents' old house, I was able to hold two. They're so cold. =)

I find rats creepy.

Spiders really upset me. And, sharks, and alligators (like the Nile Crockodile- freaky!)

I can't believe you held this, good for you!

I know you're going to hate me for saying this but I think that fellow is cute! That is, as long as that mouth is taped shut! Hehe
That must have been exhilarating!
