Anything goes...

It's February 7, I am very thankful for the new year that God has once again added into my life. I'm 34, I have been counting the days until I reach 34 and it swiftly arrived without much ado. Life has been very good to me while I was 33, and now I am wondering what will happen because I turned a year older. Life goes on, absolutely, and I am glad that as I age, I become wiser. Thank you to those who remembered my birthday. I am very overwhelmed at the many greetings you all gave me, from Facebook to texts and even personally. I didn't get to have a really grand celebration, just a small dinner with family and close friends at Bigby's which made me smile and I wanted to hide because the crew sang me a song, too loud for everyone to know it's my birthday. Ahhh well, you only get to celebrate birthdays once a year, therefore it must be at least, special. Okey, so I woke up today feeling all refreshed with strength renewed, said my prayers, and looking forward to what's gonna happen for the day. But it's really gonna be a busy day, a hectic Monday so to speak, work, eat, work, home. Nothing special except that -- it's my birthday! Yes, Happy Birthday to ME! 33 years in this life and I am still alive and kicking, and I thank my God for preserving me up to now. I already celebrated the weekend with a blast even though all of those were advance celebrations, on Saturday with my friends in GenSan and yesterday, with my Mom and Dad and siblings in Marbel. So I feel complete already, everything is good. A pair of chickens walk up to the circulation desk at a public library and say, 'Buk Buk BUK.' The librarian decides that the chickens desire three books, and gives it to them...and the chickens leave shortly thereafter. Around midday, the two chickens return to the circulation desk quite vexed and say,' Buk Buk BuKKOOK!' The librarian decides that the chickens desire another three books and gives it to them. The chickens leave as before. The two chickens return to the library in the early afternoon, approach the librarian, looking very annoyed and say, 'Buk Buk Buk Buk Bukkooook!' The librarian is now a little suspicious of these chickens. She gives them what they request, and decides to follow them. She followed them out of the library, out of the town, and to a park. At this point, she hid behind a tree, not wanting to be seen. She saw the two chickens throwing the books at a frog in a pond, to which the frog was saying, "Rrredit Rrredit Rrredit..."...

Back when i was just a fresh graduate, and i had the chance to work as a staff of an Internet Provider, i was assigned at the internet cafe, and was located in a mall here in Gensan. The walls were of course made of glass, and we have all the chance of seeing beggars and vagrants outside the mall. Now, our space is just an attachment to two big eateries, the Chow King and Jollibee, and i can see them beggars asking for alms and some of them being picked on by bystanders. Some of them were just sleeping in the alleys and were just so hopeless they didn't know what to do, and they are carrying newborn babies with them. I felt so lucky that I got myself a job, and that my parents crawled their way to give us a nice education, and grant us what we must have in life, stability. There's this woman who always stays there at the alley overlooking the glass window where we are located, and i just can't help but stare at them, and trying to think what I could do to help them. I woke up early that day to prepare for the big day, you think I was having a bash or anything? No, I had other plans and that is for us to visit our house in La Cassandra. 3 days before that, we went to a big mall here in Gensan and took advantage of the clearance sale that they were having, my impulsive wallet starts itching to buy cabinets and wardrobes for our house. And so we did. I had them delivered on my birthday. And these are the purchases I got! the Master's bedroom wardrobe original price: P8, 695 sale price: P6, 956 these are my kids' clothes shelf I bought two of this beauties, one for each of them. original price: P2, 365 sale price: P1, 892 our TV rack, (TV soon to come, teehee!) original price: P1, 795 sale price: P1, 436 All of our purchases only cost us P12, 176. It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, hahaha! Nope, i won't cry, but thanks be to God for the added year in my life.
