I don't know if they are really hammerhead sharks, but many of my friends say these are hammerhead sharks. We have them in a small cemented aquarium cum pond. We have three of them and they have been sharing their glorious lives with us for more than five years.

From a fist size to that big a basin to fit, they are really huge now and we are wondering if they could still fit our small aquarium/pond made especially for them.

We have plenty of pets with us, I once posted our dogs, and we also have pigeons. We had two hamsters and guinea pigs but they all died just early January because of the unpredictable hot at noon and cold at night weather. We also have hens, but these fishes are the ones who were able to stand with us for a long time, aside from our dogs.

This too, is my favorite among our pets. Although I do not have the time to feed them, but I always love to watch them swim to and fro and they erase my weariness every time I peek on them.

If Mordsith has her Casper, what is your comfort pet?

It's so cool that you have pet sharks at home. Our family friend also have pet sharks. They had a customized tank made for them. They are getting bigger and soon they need a bigger tank.

Wow, five years? Now, I think of having a fish or two. Piscean ako. Tapos napag-isp ko hindi masyado matrabaho na magkaroon ng fish no? Hindi mo sila kailangan bantayan. Pwedeng iwan. Salamat sa pagbukas ng aking isipan. Wala kasi akong alaga ever since na matatawag kong akin.

just a few more animals in your menagerie and you can have your own zoo at home! i'm curious though, what made you decide on keeping sharks as pets?

Hammerhead sharks are cool! My son loves them so much. He even have replica toys of them. If he sees this, he'll surely get ideas on his head of having them as pets.

Oh, by the way, you're from General Santos City pala. I'm from Davao City before. We used to go to Gen San to watch dog shows. :D

i like cuddly pets. sharks are probably malikot, no? and you can't teach them tricks. haha.

What do you feed them anyway?
Little fishes?
Kung shark nga yan, parang kailangan nyo pagawa ng swimming pool na malaki para sa kanila!

I think you need to give them a much bigger space to swim in. Sure, they all can fit into the pond that you have, but it doesn't look like they're able to swim much.

Fresh water sharks?? Wow, cool pets! What do you feed them?
Me and Garandee both want a dog, she wants a chihuahua, I want a pug. We can't afford having two, so it looks like we're getting a chihuahua. She wants the ones that look particularly stupid. :D

Shark as pet? That's interesting. We maintain few dogs as pets in the Philippines. That's one of the things I miss there. They don't encourage having pets here in UAE.

well if they look like this when they get bigger then they are hammerheads! http://www.sharkdivermag.com/IMAGES/TIGER%20SHARK%2007/great-hammerhead-shark-3.jpg

Yikes! They must be awesome to watch though! :)

i remember having one of those too when i was in high school. yes they grow big and are less critical. needs less maintenance.

they say that people who enjoys pets are most likely to be sociable. this will definitely be good for your kids.

i dont have any pet right now. hirap magalaga pag nandito sa manila.
