Ulam Craze

My family went to Grab a Crab sometime last month to try their specialty in the house. We were all so excited to try out their foodies goodies and we were able to fill our tummies with a nice fine dining experience.

Let me just share to you what we had.

Kare-kare

Yummy kare-kare, it was so creamy and saucy and the bagoong was also very delicious, I love kare-kare really, just minus the talong and sitaw, teehee.

shrimp veggies with green peas

This one's a favorite of the kids, it's shrimp with green peas and other veggies. Also contains cashew nuts, yummy. It was not a boring dish, but rather a really exciting dish because of the half-cooked veggies which makes them crunchy.

kinilaw

The men's favorite, kinilaw. Of course, General Santos is the tuna capital of the country and so this is the course that made the men drool.

And this is the favorite of the elderlies, sinigang na tuna. Not so sour, and not so salty, a little bland though but good for the heart because of the less salt.

So there, what's your favorite ulam? Share naman diyan...

I like all the ulam in this post. I'm matakaw kase. =) I don't eat kinilaw until I tried that one when I was in Gensan or Marbel. Sarap. I also liked grilled buntot ng tuna. I have a lot of favorites, to include ginataang hipon, kare kare, etc.

generally, i love Filipino food, especially those cooked by my mom. But when it's kare-kare, sinigang na sugpo, kilawin (mom's version), and itlog na pula with kamatis at bagoong, i tend to eat around three servings. hehe. :)

I'd go for the shrimp veggies and kare-kare. On second thought - can I have it all. And extra rice please? :)
