Groping In the Darkness

If there are two words I could describe the situation here in Southern Mindanao particularly in General Santos City, it's this: SCARY HOT!

Despite the heavy rains we got last election day and a few days after that, we still have brownouts, and it's worse than ever. It's really hot here, especially now that we have these 12 hours daily brownouts. Even though we have been experiencing these brownouts since February, we are still not used to it, and will never be.

Here's the schedule of our brownouts in the city, I know you know which group you belong.

(Please click image for larger view.)

I so envy other areas in the archipelago which enjoy 24 hours of electricity without power curtailment.

I can only sigh!

one can never get used to brownouts especially if you live in a tropical country.

sana magtugunan na ang problema sa kuryente. i feel for everyone living there.

p.s. in response to one of your comments--i too would love to meet you in person :)

kawawa mga bata pag brownout!
those newly elected officials in your town must do something quick once after they take their oath. or better, power shortage and rise in its cost should be one of the concerns of noynoy ASAP.

How about acquiring a portable generator? I've seen portable generators here but I'm not sure if they are too expensive to run, given the price of gas.

@docgelo: kawawa talaga, nakakainis man isipin but i have to sacrifice some precious sleeping time to make paypay!

@bertN: kaya hindi rin ako makabili ng genset. It will be a pain in the pocket especially that gas is more than P40 already, not so practical, sana hindi magtagal to considering maulan naman din dito.

kakalungkot talaga to isipin pero hindi na rin to tatagal

Dong is right...kakalungkot nga pero dont worry sis because worrying too much will just make you feel so bad di ba. If nag brownout, labas na lang ng bahay punta sa mall if gabi naman, maglabas ng upuan at e-enjoy ang kagandahan ng kalangitan :). We do that kasi :)
Have a great weekend

Grabe na yan Sheng. At least dito mainit lang. Buti sana kung sa beach ang office nyo, pwede mag swim kapag sobrang init na. hehe

In my three weeks of stay in my hometown, siguro tatlong beses lang nag brown-out. And it lasted only about an hour.

By the way, belated Happy Mother's Day, sheng!

kahit na nag-uuulan na diyan, tuloy pa din yung schedule? baka naman magawan ng paraan yan...

or... (the conspiracy theorist in me again) magkakuntsaba yung mga mall at power companies para mabenta mga rechargeable stuff nila!!! :P hehe...

sana bumuti na power supply sa inyo soon.
