P10 Wage Increase in Region 12

DOLE XII Wage Order No. 17, providing an additional of ten (P10) pesos per day as minimum wage for the workers here in Region 12. This means from P260 minimum wage to P270 effective April 18, 2012 for non-agriculture. For those who  are working online making free android apps, this P10 wage increase in the region is but teeny-weeny when they are earning moolah in the name of $$$. But then again, an increase is an increase, big or small, it's still a blessing. We must give thanks for every blessing we receive.

Will a P10-peso increase make a difference? Sabagay, puwede na makabili soy sauce at kaunting mantika para sa ulam. Haaaaay.....

The very first time I earned an income was when I was a student trainee on a summer field assignment and I was paid four pesos a day, the minimum daily wage at that time! Does that give you a hint on how old I am? LOL.

@Nortehanon: I am sure madami ang naliliitan sa P10 increase. it will never justify the cries of those who are in need. But I think it is better na merong increase kesa sa wala. P250 na rin yun pag walang absent ang isang tao sa office or sa work.

@BertN: I can only guess, hahaha. But then again, age is just a number. Your experiences and your endeavors may be mature, but your life does not seem to be old. Your travels make you younger than you really are.

ako'y natutuwa dahil may salary increase dyan sa atin kahit sampung piso lang. sabi nga, mabuti na kaysa sa wala. magpasalamat sa lahat ng biyaya!

pero tama din naman si ms. N; ano ba mabibili ng sampung piso sa ngayon dyan?

@DocGelo: Okey na rin naman ang P10 increase, it may not be that big an amount but then, we can be frugal in our ways, can't we?

@Reena: Kulang yang 270 sa iyo Mam, gasolina pa lang sa bago mong car, wala na agad ang buong buwang sahod. Hahaha.

an increase is an increase you are right to be thankful for that. but the overall state of global economy cannot allow for more increase. i also work for the govt.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning when we visited Kinilis, in Polomolok. I was with Nanards and two visiting friends from Davao City, Emi, and her American husband, Joshua.
