Hopeful...

A lot of things has happened in my life in 2010, in fact I am actually thankful to the Lord because 2010 made me realize a lot of things, and that realization made me stronger, and more grateful of what He has given me. Last year, I was given a new (contractual) work at the Dept of Labor and Employment, one that has been number 2 on my list of wants and wishes for 2010. I am thankful that, that wish was realized before the year ended. The Lord did not fail me, and I am just the most grateful person in the world for being in government service.

I believe I have made myself beneficial to the government. And I believe I have satisfied the new boss with my performance, thus, he has bugged me to apply for an open regular post. This year, God's will will be working in my life again, I am hopeful that 2011 will grant me my desire of a regular post in government service. The first Monday of this year, I have officially applied for that post, and is anxious for the exams.

When I was still employed in a private company, all I ever thought was getting paid during pay time, the company can settle for itself because it has the resources. This time, it is the love for public service that enters my mind and heart. There are just so many unemployed, mismatched and under-employed people today that it breaks my heart when they get to the office to complain of the state they are in; underpayment of wages, no 13th month pay, no overtime pay, mistreated, and a lot more.

Now, there are employees in government service that do not really think of this as something they should be thankful for. Some of them think of their employment as work, and not service to others, they think of pay day, and not the good feeling having helped others. This is one thing that I am going to change, even if it starts on myself alone. I want others to be happy with what they do, not because they get good pay each time they work on a task, but because they have helped others.

I am hopeful this 2011, hopeful that everything will be at its best, and hopeful for a good start of a lifetime. I have long wanted a job with the government because it determines my family's security, it is always better in the government service, methinks. You only have to be optimistic, and do the right thing, while doing things right.

So, this 2011, I am just hopeful, hope with me please...

Alam mo sheng there is what they call the power of suggestion. When you pray over and over and believe, then things will lean in your favor. Believe and it will materialize.
