Anything goes...

On my multiple visits to home of the most expensive coffee, Kinilis, I have learned to love the community there, I and my friends have taken the responsibility of sharing what we have for the children there. And I did my share of helping them to continue with education, and encouraged them to continue learning. As coffee lovers, I and my friends have ventured into something really special. And one thing that makes this venture special is that, we are going to help the B'laan community more with their livelihood. We have witnessed how they have grown and taken care of these coffee shrubs, picked these coffee cherry beans for us and selected what could be best coffee for daily consumption. coffee cherries ripe coffee cherries We have witnessed how they are as a community, and we are willing to help them with their livelihood. And because we love coffee, and we love to share... We will brew this very, very soon! Good luck to us!

It was only last year when we have experienced Kinilis and the beauty of its nature, and the people there, and everything about them. We have witnessed how passionate they are in serving nature and in helping each other build better lives. We, together with the Rotary Club of Polomolok, went back there last December to share our Christmas love and the children were very happy. I am awed at their love for each other, and their want for education that I and some friends have planned on giving something for the Kinilis children this coming schoolyear . South Cotabato Tambayan has donated 50 sets of these school supplies, and there's a lot more pouring in. We will be sending them off before June comes. Last Saturday was my second time in Prk. 8, Kinilis, Polomolok, South Cotabato. The first time I went there was on an assignment, I was tasked to document on the kafe balos or kapeng alamid story because the boss wanted me to have it featured in the magazine I was handling. That first experience made me swear i will be going back, and sure enough, even brought friends with me. At first I was hesitant to bring them there because as techies and internet savvy people, they might not like it there and might want some wifi-ing instead. But the plan was pushed through, thanks to the host, Sir Fred Fredeluces, formerly from Mahintana Foundation who has been a good friend to me, and mentor during my "proposal drafting" time in Mahintana. Everyone seemed excited since there were messages on my FB on what to bring, and told them they could bring some candy stuff for the kids. Hiyaaa there! The SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers had been to an adventure last Saturday, and 'tis one adventure that's already my second. No, this may not be the place for the forest Edward Cullen is taking while he traverses in his vampire-ly state, the way he runs faster than a lightning. No. But this is definitely one forest I would love to go back to when I get the chance. I was with some indigenous people, of the B'laan tribe. This place is their comfort zone, no one gets here without their permission. No one tries to get anything here, because they don't like it. No one hunts in this place.
