I drink coffee, in fact, a cup of good coffee basically starts my mornings. But I am not one who drinks more than two, I prefer a cup in the morning and one when I feel like it. There are a number of coffee shops here in our city, they are good coffee shops as well, but I prefer one that is just within the vicinity where I work, or where I frequent. Having one inside the mall is a blessing. And when Coffee Dream opened six years ago in my favorite mall, husband and I were regular customers, almost always ordering strawberry smoothies. Having Coffee dream re-launched is a good reminder that it exists because I have totally forgotten about it after being switched to another workplace a bit far from the mall. With more relaxing ambiance this time, it seemed more spacious and more convenient for business meet-ups. It's not always that we, bloggers, get to gather and enjoy each other's company. At times, we have busy lives and we only meet once or twice in a month. When busy schedules are overwhelming, we can only get to meet online, virtually that is. But during the times that we get to see each other, we make sure that each moment gets to be exciting and FUN. So when Music City Family KTV opened a few days back, we were given the chance to bond once more. The invitation from Music City Family KTV was so enticing that a lot of us went, even with our busy schedule as it was on a Tuesday. I have always loved food although I am not really a good food writer. But I know good food when I see one! So when the the SoCCSKSarGen Bloggers headed to lake Sebu, we ended up feasting at The Red Tent Steakhouse in Gensan. We were kinda uneasy because of the tired legs we have, and the sticky feeling just won't let go, but after that we saw the food, they are just the best! Owned by Dexter and Dina Dumaran, close kins of the man, Mr Gilbert Tan, this place is a relaxing haven where one can eat, talk, dilly-dally, drink cooffee and surf. Yes, they're wifi hotspot! Last Saturday was an important day for us Gensan bloggers because, as conceived by two of our our head master bloggers, Bariles and Orman , participants to the First ever Summer Safari hosted by SoCCASKSarGen bloggers arrived, and we had a blast with a grand bloggers' eyeball we gave them sponsored by PiYesTa, and the beautiful owner Donna Mae . The CDO and Davao bloggers were treated for lots of dinners, but I was not around to welcome them for the first two stops as I was hoping the Gensan candidates for Pilipinas Got Talent could beat other PGT contenders. I watched PGT and prepared for PiYesTa. They arrived quite late from the schedule because of their multiple dinners but we still had FUN with having to introduce ourselves with each other using our plurk names, haha! Plurk has been our only link, aside from the blogs we visit, and that makes us familiar with each other's activities, and even moods. If there are two words I could describe the situation here in Southern Mindanao particularly in General Santos City, it's this: SCARY HOT ! Despite the heavy rains we got last election day and a few days after that, we still have brownouts, and it's worse than ever. It's really hot here, especially now that we have these 12 hours daily brownouts. Even though we have been experiencing these brownouts since February, we are still not used to it, and will never be. I so envy other areas in the archipelago which enjoy 24 hours of electricity without power curtailment. I can only sigh!

Crabs and shrimps, and everything is fine! The last time I craved for crabs was last month, and the last time that I fully craved for crabs is because of Barlies' seafoods and crabs experience . Last Wednesday night was a blast. Hubby and I were invited by the Maestro, Bariles himself to join them at Red Trellis, a fancy fine-dining restaurant just 5 minutes away from our house. We always pass by the resto but was too busy to even drop by and check the place. Walking in, the cozy but light atmosphere amazed me. There's a small pond with koi fishes bridging you to the kitchen where delectable aroma of seafoods and other Asian foods are being cooked to excellent taste. Last Thursday, we were invited to try out the newest resort in town. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Joel and Patrice Santos, this new resort had me awestruck at the clean and beautiful place they have. It was very spacious and very much apt for family bonding. So after the owners' Thursday treat to us bloggers, i thought it fair to bring the kids there too. It is a very nice resort with modern facilities yet, with native themed bamboo huts and decors. It was really a beautiful place to unwind so we wasted no time, we went back there with the kids last Saturday. This is the inside of the hut. Looking up, just above your heads is a slot for placing your bags and bulky things, towels, and other stuffs in order for the seats to be comfortable with, no clutter. On the sides, outside the hut is a long clothesline where you can hang your wet clothes and towles after you are through swimm...

Once when i was in Cebu, there's this place in Colon Street where all pedestrians needed a shove in order to concentrate to where he/she's going, the traffic there is just so heavy that I couldn't believe my eyes taking a look at all the crowd passing by. I have never experienced being along with that huge crowd, and waiting for the go of the lights until everyone moves along. Funny it may seem, but I was truly amazed at what a traffic light can do. Now, here in General Santos City, we welcome a new baby, the traffic lights signal system. Yes, years back, we have been gifted with a traffic lights system but that was only located along Pioneer Avenue, an area where most traffic is seen daily because of the surge of students near that avenue.
