Anything goes...

It has been three years when I left my former job at a local publishing house here in General Santos City. What happened then was that, I was no longer happy with them and found an exit when the demands I was asking were ignored.  My demands were simple, 1) that they pay the delayed contributions of the SSS of all the personnel entitled of it, and 2) that they pay all the Pag-ibig contributions of all that is entitled to it; 3) that they pay the loans that were already deducted from their salaries and remit it to the offices mentioned; and  lastly, that they follow the minimum wage because it is written in the laws.  But they were too deaf and blind to see the outcome of such requests. Nobody dared to demand all these from them and even if I was one considered very close to the owners/managers to the point that I was called the "boss' pet", I was forced to voice out our demands and wrote a letter to the manager about it. I already watched. I can't wait to see the last installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I skipped half a day at work just so I could spend some time with my husband and watch my most favorite series in a film story, and I watched in 3D. When Harry Potter was published many years back, I already knew I will fall in love with it, and I went on collecting its books, and I have 6, I still have to buy Book 6 to complete my set. I wonder what can equal Harry Potter and his adventures. If there's one thing I love about it, there's magic and suspense and fiction all in one story. I am also looking forward to Breaking Dawn, the first installment of the 2 parts of Stephenie Meyer's last book. But you know what, I still have a long list of pending reads, and I just can't seem to touch it yet. I was in my second grade, I have been frequenting my Tita Carmen's house, because during that time, she was very fond of me. She was truly generous to me, and was shoving me a lot of books in her library, she wanted me to READ . Tita Carmen is my Dad's cousin, good thing is, they are the rich family who lived upon shelves and shelves of books, and was teaching me to love books as much as she does. We are not as fortunate as they are so I would always hop on over to their house, and borrow her books. She brags about her daughter, Ate Jing who has been a bookworm as she was the one who owned all the collections Tita Carmen has been keeping. My first ever read: The Cat in the Hat, is the first ever book I have come to love, I have loveD Dr. Seuss and all books he has written. I have been having a hard time managing my TIME for the past few weeks. I dunno which one I will have to get and start with, or which one to finish first. It seems like i have long been in a capsule, got dizzy and is starting anew with my surroundings. This is making me crazy... In the office, it seems like my mind is wandering, and not knowing where to start first, I would eventually turn on the PC and click chat-fun Plurk or go farming in Facebook. So, bad move? Yeah, of course, and it's making my pending stuffs all the more piling up! I got this new project about a certain dictionary we are making and it's driving me crazy, that even my Saturdays and Sundays are devoted into reading... plus the 17 manuscripts I am still into. 17 manuscripts? When I was in Kindergarten, a tita (aunt) of mine kept me going to her house because they had a library. She wanted me to be in love with her books and so I did. I frequented her house, and started out with Dr. Seuss' books. Soon, all her Dr. Seuss' books I have already read. After that, I read Enid Blyton's Choose Your Own Story . Nancy Drew also filled her shelves, and so I upgraded to Nancy Drew. I started with The Secret of the Red Gate Farm when I was in Grade 4, and from then on, I moved to Hardy Boys. Until now, all Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys and other book collections I have had when I was a kid, I still kept. I am hoping my kids will value them too. Most of my friends read Sweet Valley, from the Kids, Twins, the Sweet Valley High, until I upgraded to Sweet Valley University. I have read and not really understood. Oh, an understatement! I may have found it really very classical for my taste and all the characters in it are very (un)modern. When I read it though, I feel the pain seeing Wentworth trying to grope if determination is the key or the admiration to Anne rules out. I love the book though, it makes me understand love in a very different phase. But all the other blah-blahs are well, incomprehensible by my dysfunctional brain at the moment. I guess I am just too caught up with Twilight that I could not understand more of this fine book by Jane Austen. I would love Jane Austen's other books I hope.
