My Walking Partner, My Espadrilles

I was using them in high school, and when I was in college, a very close friend influenced me again to use espadrilles. Then it went out of trend, and I used different footwear that I felt comfortable with, but nothing beats the comfort that espadrilles gave me.

And now, it is back. The moment I saw one, I desperately asked a guy where he bought his pair, and I was awed at the many espadrilles a certain store here in our place displayed, which he pointed.

I bought one from the husband's office mate, but it took her time to deliver the pair I ordered, and so I have to wait. Until last December, the husband surprised me with my blue pair, and it never left my feet whenever I go out. But then again, since I am working in a government office with a color-coding uniform I have to conform to, I have to wear some close pair with heels, to which I am really not fond of, but have to. But yes, I still love my espadrilles and use it when I go out, even during free days in the office when I am free to wear tee shirts, which I love very much!

Yesterday, a good friend gave me a pair of maroon espadrilles! Yay! I just love the new pair, it feels so comfortable to my feet, and I can alternately use both whenever I feel like using it. The espadrilles are originally from Spain, and I dunno why, but I just love them. If there's one you'd call a comfort food, I'd call my espadrilles the "comfort walking partner".

oh yeah its back nga. i used to have one too then it went out of style nga.

i normally prefer rubbershoes or flats pang walking hindi masakit sa paa.

i've never worn an espadrille, but they look comfy. i wear sneakers on my way to work, then change into my work shoes at the office. no heels for me as i don't feel comfortable with them.

Famous Cultural Landmark in Surallah, South Cotabato

We went to Lake Sebu last Saturday to celebrate my brother's 16th birthday, and while on our way to witness the majestic falls, we were already planning to drop by Surallah to check out their most famous cultural landmark, the round ball. I do not really know how it was named the Round Ball since it seems so redundant to be called as such but to question it, honestly, won't give you much intelligent answer as we also have round balls in Koronadal City and General Gantos City. The First Ever Traditional B'laan Wedding Ritual I Witnessed

It was a beautiful Saturday morning when we visited Kinilis, in Polomolok. I was with Nanards and two visiting friends from Davao City, Emi, and her American husband, Joshua. They wanted to go see the kafe balos because it has been very famous now, and they wanted to invest into the business. Sir Fred mentioned there was a tribal wedding that very day so it was a fortunate day for us to witness something different, a customary tribal wedding rite. We went inside the house for they explained to us that the traditional B'laan wedding is being held inside the house of the bride where the couple has to sit on a mat and surrounded by relatives and witnesses.
